Hi Daniela, yes, you need special health permission to bake out of your home kitchen. The permit is issued after inspection to make sure that you don't have domesticated animals, such as pets, and in general, the environment is sanitary to bake and sell cupcakes. In addition, yes, you need a home bakery license to sell your custom cakes. In addition, you do need a reseller license (it is called a seller's permit).

An LLC or an S-corporation is the best bet for your business because baking cakes involves accidental poisoning to your clients, and you want to protect your personal assets such as your home and other luxury items you possess.

That said, cakes are "So Sweet. So Good. Sure to bring smiles." but also the Sweet Taste of Success: you will be happy all the way to the bank.

So keep in mind that the secret ingredient in baking is always love.
